A Bridal Boudoir Experience Designed Just for You

There is something so special about bridal boudoir sessions. Maybe it's the anticipation of the wedding day. Maybe it's the excitement of creating a gift for your partner. Or maybe it's simply taking a moment during a season that's often focused on everyone else and making it about you!

This gorgeous bridal boudoir session took place at The Loft Studio in Dundas, Ontario, and from the moment our bride arrived, the energy was immaculate.

Professional Makeup with Christian

Before we even picked up the camera, she settled into the makeup chair with Christian, my go-to makeup artist for Hamilton-area boudoir sessions. (Find her instagram here.)

As always, she absolutely nailed the look. Soft, romantic, and effortlessly bridal, it complemented every outfit she brought perfectly and gave her that extra boost of confidence before stepping in front of the camera.

One of the things I love most about including professional makeup is that it allows clients to relax, settle into the experience, and feel taken care of from the moment they arrive!

Bringing a Friend Along for the Experience

My bride brought her cousin along, and she was a WELCOME addition to the session!

Clients are always welcome to bring a friend if it helps them feel more comfortable. My only rule is that they bring cheerleader energy. No critiques or awkwardness or stress. Just support, encouragement, and someone to celebrate every gorgeous image along the way.

Her cousin understood the assignment perfectly, and having her there added so much warmth and fun to the session.

Planning Outfits and Creating a Vision

While Christian worked her magic, we spent time chatting and getting to know each other.

Those conversations are one of my favourite parts of every boudoir session. By the time we start shooting, it no longer feels like you're walking into a room with a stranger pointing a camera at you (and if you choose to do your own makeup, I will also make it feel similarly - COMFY!!!).

Once makeup was finished, we laid out all of her lingerie and came up with a game plan for the session. This helps us maximize our shooting time while ensuring we capture a variety of looks and moods. And can we talk about her bridal set for a second?

She brought the most glorious white bridal lingerie set from Lounge, and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. It was elegant, timeless, and photographed beautifully. I may have added it to my own wish list before the session was even over…

Guided Posing Every Step of the Way

One of the biggest concerns I hear before a boudoir session is:

"I've never done this before. What if I don't know how to pose?"

The good news is that you don't need to!!! Throughout the session, I guide every client from start to finish. I demonstrate poses before asking you to get into them, explain exactly what I'm looking for, and provide direction the entire way.

From hand placement and body positioning to facial expressions and small adjustments, my job is to make sure you feel comfortable and look incredible. With permission, I'll even adjust hair or wardrobe details to make sure everything photographs beautifully.

You don't need modelling experience, to know your angles, or to arrive feeling confident. That’s what I’m here for!!!

Creating the Perfect Wedding Gift

By the end of the session, she was absolutely glowing, and the images we created together were phenomenal.

After the session, she chose her favourite images for her bridal boudoir album (that she also received as digitals!), and I got to designing!

A custom album makes an unforgettable wedding gift - something personal, meaningful, and completely unique. And of course, we can't forget the Polaroids!!!

Polaroids are one of my favourite perks because they bring a nostalgic, intimate touch to the experience and make the perfect little surprise alongside an album. (Pro tip: if you pay in full up front, you get an additional 10 polaroids!)

Thinking About Booking a Bridal Boudoir Session?

This session was everything I love about bridal boudoir: laughter, connection, gorgeous lingerie, a supportive atmosphere, and images that remind someone just how beautiful they are.

If you're considering a bridal boudoir session before your wedding, I'd love to help create an experience that feels comfortable, empowering, and uniquely tailored to you.
